Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 8, 2026

1. Who We Are

AlwaysYummy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a network of recipe websites at alwaysyummy.recipes and its language-specific editions, including ru.alwaysyummy.recipes, en.alwaysyummy.recipes, de.alwaysyummy.recipes, es.alwaysyummy.recipes, fr.alwaysyummy.recipes, it.alwaysyummy.recipes, pl.alwaysyummy.recipes, pt.alwaysyummy.recipes, and nl.alwaysyummy.recipes (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you, in line with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Comments: If you leave a comment on a recipe, we collect the name, email address, and website (if you choose to provide one) submitted with the comment, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
  • Newsletter / Email Sign-Up: Where the Site offers an email subscription or recipe-update sign-up form, we collect the email address you provide so we can send you updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log Data: Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the pages you visit, for security and performance purposes.
  • Cookies: We use a limited set of cookies for essential site functions and performance. See “Cookies” below for details.
  • Aggregate Recipe Analytics: Our recipe plugin records anonymous, aggregate view counts for recipes (e.g., how many times a recipe was viewed) so we can understand which content is useful. This data is not linked to your identity.

2.3 Information From Third-Party Tools

We use SEO tools such as Google Search Console and, where connected, Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and search performance for the Site. Any data processed through these tools is subject to Google’s own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in a cookie for your convenience, so you do not need to re-enter these details when you comment again. This cookie lasts for one year.

Our hosting and caching infrastructure may also set cookies needed for basic site performance (for example, to determine whether your browser accepts cookies, or to serve cached pages faster). These cookies do not identify you personally.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect some site functionality, such as saved comment details.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its recipe content
  • To respond to comments and inquiries
  • To send recipe updates by email, if you have subscribed, and to let you opt out at any time
  • To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security issues
  • To understand aggregate usage trends and improve site performance

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site, such as our hosting provider (Hostinger) and Google (for search/analytics tools), each bound by their own privacy and confidentiality obligations
  • Spam-detection and avatar services, such as Gravatar, for comment avatars (see https://automattic.com/privacy/)
  • Authorities or third parties, where required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public

6. Embedded Content and External Links

Recipe pages may include links to external content or platforms, such as our Telegram channels, Pinterest boards, or other social media. If you follow a link to a third-party site, that site’s own privacy policy applies to any information you provide there. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

7. Data Retention

We retain comments and their associated data indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve legitimate follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to the settings of the underlying tools.

8. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the “Contact Us” section below.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Because our Site serves visitors in multiple countries and our hosting and service providers may process data outside your country of residence, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
